Year 6 boys enjoyed the football festival on Dinton field, their last chance to play as St Agatha’s pupils! Competing against local schools, they had a brilliant time and won almost all of their matches. Well done boys!
Our Nursery Class took part in their very first sports day today.
Twelve Year 6 girls braved the pouring rain on Thursday 5th June to compete in a football tournament. They drew 0-0 with Malden Manor before there was a goal scored by one of our team in the match against Corpus Christi. We held on with excellent defending and constant running up the wings to win 1-0. The rain continued to pour while we played our last game against OLI. Although there were few goals, our one goal against Corpus Christi meant that we won the competition.
The girls were very excited to be able to have a photo with Katie Cox, a Chelsea and England U19 player who also refereed their matches. She was very impressed, praising their footballing skills but also their teamwork and leadership skills. It was a very successful morning for St Agatha's. Well done to all involved.
Our school choir was delighted to receive an invitation to perform at a coffee morning at St Agatha’s Church. The young singers sang some of their favourite songs, including 'Lost in Space' by Alan Simmons and 'Sansa Kroma' arranged by Michael Scott for parishioners, family and friends. Well done choir. We are very proud of you.
An all-round effort was shown by the boys who attended a football tournament at Richard Challoner. They showed great team spirit, passing well to each other and were resilient with their defending. Winning one game and losing two by only one-nil each, the boys continued to demonstrate good sportsmanship between ourselves and other schools.
On Friday 2nd May we were so excited to take part in a Times Table Rock Star day. The children arrived in some fantastic costumes, and the staff did too!
Last week, children at St Agatha's participated in the TCS Mini Marathon around our Daily Mile track running 2 miles (16 laps of the track). The children varied the number of laps that they ran each day, with some committing to running lengthy distances in one go.

Year 4 enjoyed an exciting trip to Teddington Lock to take part in the River Thames Boat Project. They took part in a variety of different tasks which included water testing, riverbed testing, how the lock works and the importance of sustainable materials.
The children and the adults had a fantastic time, and we were very lucky with the weather too! We found out lots of interesting facts and our favourite fact was about the fish ladder and eel ladder. If you take a walk down to the lock, we are sure the children will point them out to you!
St Agatha's Book Swap is in full swing.
Every Wednesday, children bring in a pre-loved book they no longer need and swap it from a whole range of different books to take home and enjoy. Happy reading!
